Over the last two decades I’ve had the pleasure of working with hundreds of startup leaders. Few are as inspiring, or passionate, as one entrepreneur I’ve gotten to know well over the last few years. Liz Powers is co-founder and chief happiness spreader of ArtLifting, a company that isn’t focused on helping people with homelessness or disabilities, but rather empowering them through the sale of their artwork. “The majority of our artists had zero dollars in earned income before ArtLifting,” said Powers. “Now, many of them make thousands annually.” Since Powers founded ArtLifting in 2013, the company has worked with more than 140 artists in 20 states. Last year, Powers landed on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list of Social Entrepreneurs . But perhaps the most impressive aspect of ArtLifting’s business is how the company has worked with some of the world’s most well-known corporations.
