Convicted con artist still has business dreams after being bankrupt for 17 years

(File photo) A conman who has been bankrupt since 2001, once changed his name by deed poll to Foxconn Group plc and got a passport in that name. A recent High Court decision said the con artist formerly known as Michael Knight, and Michael Helsby-Knight, has moved on from Foxconn and has changed his name again to Mike Lafferty. His Foxconn Group plc incarnation seems to have been in about 2012 when he obtained a passport in that name and opened a bank account in that name also, Justice Christine Gordon said in a decision from the High Court at Hamilton.
