But how do you get from that starting point to the exact role you’re hoping for? Krista Skehan, Founder and Creative Director at Personify , successfully took this approach when she started her career at a Chicago-based ad agency in an entry-level, account-side role. Within six months, Skehan learned all aspects of the agency, crossed the creative divide, and landed her dream job as an art director. While she was able to accomplish this in a short amount of time, it didn’t happen without hardship.
