There are so many lessons that I took away from this experience. Here are a few. Spend the money. I’m not going to lie to you. Our tickets were crazy expensive. However, our seats were awesome. Sure, I could have spent a lot less, had I selected seats at the top of the stadium. In the past, I’ve sat in the nosebleed section at concerts. I learned the hard way that you get what you pay for. The same principle applies when hiring talent. You may save money by hiring someone who is less experienced than what you’re ideally looking for or by making an offer to a mediocre candidate. But in the end, will you be singing the praises of this new hire? Go big or go home. Taylor Swift’s concerts are way more than an artist singing songs. They are a full-blown production.
