What We Know and What We Don’t About PUBG’s Legal Fight With Fortnite In Korea

(Photo by Chesnot/Getty Images) The Korean Times reported that South Korean game developer and Bluehole subsidiary PUBG Corporation filed a copyright lawsuit in South Korea in January against Epic Games. According to the report, the lawsuit asserts that Epic’s video game title Fortnite infringes upon copyright-protected content found in PUBG Corporation’s PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds ( PUBG ). Not much is known about the specifics of the claims because neither party were willing to comment on the case. Bluehole issued a statement in September that it had concerns over similarities between the two games and the replication of PUBG ‘s experience by Fornite .
