Long-running arts and literary journal seeks submissions, announces featured artists

(Courtesy photo | University of Alaska Southeast) Submissions are trickling in, but people putting together an annual literary and arts journal together are hoping for a Tidal Echoes tidal wave. The journal sponsored by University of Alaska Southeast is seeking more poetry, prose and artwork submissions ahead of a Dec. 1 deadline. “We’ve had some submissions already, but some people do wait until that deadline,” Tidal Echoes Editor Kelsey Walsh said in an interview. “This year, I believe the majority (of submissions) are artwork. We do have a couple in the poetry section as well.” Typically, poetry and art submissions are more numerous and submitted earlier than prose, Walsh said, so more fiction, non-fiction, transcribed oral stories, memoirs and drama are welcome.
