Q&A With Patrick Seguin, Founder Of The Eponymous 20th-Century Collectible Design Gallery

We sit down with French decorative art dealer Patrick Seguin, founder of Galerie Patrick Seguin in Paris and London, to discuss his passion for the renowned French metal worker, designer and architect, Jean Prouvé. Tell me about working in the hospitality industry in restaurants and nightclubs before establishing Galerie Patrick Seguin in 1989 . I was born in the south of France, and at age 20, I began managing a seasonal seaside restaurant-bar. In 1985, I moved up to Paris where I purchased and began running a different restaurant-bar, the Distrito, in the 1 st arrondissement, and a nightclub called El Globo. These were successful ventures with lots of fun and many late nights.
